What are the BEST neighborhoods in Vienna Va for Trick or Treating?
- North Central Vienna (inside the Town of Vienna): the older streets north of Maple Ave are walkable, close together, and many have sidewalks, which makes it easy to cover a lot of houses quickly.
- Spring Lake: a dense, family-heavy neighborhood with lots of participating houses.
- Vienna Metro area: the townhome and condo communities near the station put many doors within a short walk, which works well for little kids.
Decorated houses worth stopping at: Patch’s 2025 display guide listed 10140 Hillington Court and 221 Nutley St NW in Vienna. Displays change from year to year, so check before you plan around them.
Timing: Halloween is Saturday this year. Trick-or-treating in Vienna always happens on the actual night of Halloween, and most younger kids start right before dark, around 5:30 or 6 p.m. Fairfax County has no set hours, and the busiest stretch is about 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. If you’re going to an HOA community, check with the HOA, since some set different trick-or-treat times.
Other options: For something more contained, The PARC at Tysons held a Halloween-night event last year with trick-or-treating, live music, and food, so it’s worth checking whether it’s back this year. Nextdoor’s live Treat Map for Vienna will also show which houses on a given street have opted in this year.
My personal favorites are the Mashie St area (BIG candy bars!)
Behind Westwood CC..you can hit many houses fast!!
Same for Eudora!!!
GOOD LUCK!!!
