2. Summer on the Green (Free Town Concerts)

If you want something casual and family-friendly, the Town of Vienna hosts its free Summer on the Green concert series. Grab a lawn chair or a blanket and head to the Vienna Town Green (144 Maple Ave. E). Concerts start at 6:30 PM and run for about 90 minutes.

July 10: The Cassaday Concoction (Rock, Blues, Soul, Reggae)

July 24: Fat Chance (Rock)

August 7: The Maiden Band (Classic Rock, 70s to present)

August 14: US Navy Band Commodores (Jazz) 

3. Indoor Option: Jammin' Java

For an intimate, indoor club experience, Jammin' Java (located right in the Vienna Shopping Center) has a packed nightly schedule. Notable acts rolling through this summer include:

David Cook (July 26)

Various local rock, R&B, and tribute acts (like the Billy Joel tribute Hudson River Line on July 17).

Got kids? Don't forget Kids on the Green, a separate series of free morning interactive performances and music for young kids held on select Tuesdays (10:00 AM) at the Freeman Store Patio through mid-August.
